We Want Your Body In Our Registry
Every day, 20 Americans die waiting for an organ transplant. ORGANIZE has a plan to bring that number down to zero.
In 2012, Jenna Arnold and Greg Segal co-founded ORGANIZE, a startup using new media to revolutionize the unwieldy organ donation registration process. While the public desire and medical resources exist to end the organ shortage many times over, bureaucratic processes of registration and information circulation simply haven’t allowed organs to get to the people who need them. Solving the organ donation crisis is not a medical challenge; it’s a task of business and distribution.
Jenna will discuss the challenge of working with government while overcoming its inefficiencies, a strategy applicable in many other social arenas, and will walk through how certain tech upgrades save more lives. This session will also explore ways to bring edginess, cheekiness and sexiness to a social issue mired in the taboo category of death.
