Activist, Educator, and Author, Jill Iscol, Ed.D, is President of the IF Hummingbird Foundation. For the past two decades Jill has supported and participated in numerous organizations and has developed an expertise in identifying visionary leaders and programs at early stages of their development. She fosters their advancement by providing seed capital and guidance enabling them to become stable, sustainable and successful organizations, impacting lives around the globe. Jill’s first book, Hearts on Fire: Stories of Today’s Visionaries Igniting Idealism into Action, was released as a Random House Trade Paperback in January 2013.

Josh Nesbit, CEO of Medic Mobile. Inspired by volunteer village health workers in rural Malawi, Josh is firmly committed to serving a global community. As an international health and bioethics student at Stanford, Josh’s qualitative research focused on Pediatric HIV. He is an Echoing Green Fellow, PopTech Fellow, Rainer Arnhold Fellow, Strauss Scholar, and Haas Public Service Fellow. Josh’s role is to connect people, spearhead partnerships, and let the world know what Medic is all about.

Leila Janah is Founder and CEO of Samasource, an award-winning non-profit business that connects women and youth living in poverty to microwork — computer-based tasks that build skills and generate life-changing income, now part of the broader field of impact sourcing. Samasource has moved 4,000 workers and their families over the poverty line in under five years, and spun out a domestic program, SamaUSA. In 2011, Janah cofounded Samahope, a crowdfunding site for medical treatments in developing countries. Leila’s work with Sama Group enterprises has been featured widely in the press with features in publications including The New York Times, CNN,Forbes, and Fast Company, and she is the subject of a chapter in the book Hearts on Fire. She was named Social Entrepreneur of the Year by the Social Enterprise Alliance in 2011, one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs in 2013, and was most recently featured on the cover of Entrepreneur Magazine as one of The 7 Most Powerful Women to Watch in 2014.
