DJ Nappi

More than just a San Antonio bred DJ, DJ Nappi has been making his mark through out the entire Southwest. Since the young age of 14, DJ Nappi has inspired by the greats before him including Jam Master Jay, Jazzy Jeff, Kid Capri and Texas' own DJ Screw. Shortly after getting his start in the industry, it wasn't long before Nappi built a solid reputation for being a skilled and exciting DJ with the ability to move crowds with his mix. "I love the creative aspect of DJing" Nappi explains, "I can change the mood of a party and create excitement through the power of music. The process of coming up with ideas, practicing it to perfection, and then hearing and seeing the crowd's approval is one of the greatest feelings in the world".

In 2001, DJ Nappi became part of San Antonio..s hottest live streaming mix show known as Middlemen Mixshow Mixers on 91.7 KRTU, gaining the top rated hip hop show on Sunday nights in the city of San Antonio. With the exposure of this young talent gaining fast momentum, he went on to further expand his radio experience by gracing the airwaves with his mixes on Sirius Radio Wax, AOL Radio and SA Urban Radio. DJ Nappi still remains high involved in his city by DJing major industry events such as the ENYCE Fashion Show After-Party, The Nellyville After-Party, Usher 8701 Tour and local events such as the San Antonio Hip Hop Summit. On the club scene, you will find him commanding your attention at several of the city's hot spots.

DJ Nappi has never limited his love for music by just blazing the turntables. He has touched on several arenas within the music industry by diving into the promotions game with major labels and tours to include Def Jam South, Roc-a-fella, Geffen, MCA, J Records, Sony Urban Music, Roc-The-Mic Tour, Scream 2 Tour and many more. In 2006 DJ Nappi began his mixtape series "Supply & Demand" with volume 4 hosted by Shady/Aftermath artist Stat Quo. In August 2008 his "Signed Hype" mixtape with San Antonio rapper, Question, was The Source Magazine's mixtape off the month. DJ Nappi's following is rapidly growing and the industry's awareness of his talent is fast and coming. More recently DJ Nappi has been nominated for Southern Entertainment Award's "Slept On DJ Of The Year" and has received A&R credits on recent projects by Question and Brooklyn bred rapper, BedStuy Gab.

Heavily affiliated with his DJ Crews like Bum Squad DJz, Streetsweepers and Trendsetters, his career is definitely traveling down the road of success.
