The Burning of Rome

7663

San Diego based quintet The Burning of Rome boast a handful of acclaimed releases under their belt, domestic and international tours, and a burgeoning cult following. The groups’ sound is akin to Brian Eno, Todd Rungren, The Flaming Lips, Faith No More, Oingo Boingo, Devo, Killing Joke, Joy Division, and Black Flag, among others. Set to drop in May of 2014, Year of the Ox (produced by Paul Leary at Sonic Ranch in El Paso) is the band's latest full length release on Surfdog Records, and features drumming legends Josh Freese (Vandals, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle), Dale Crover (Melvins, Nirvana), and Matt Chamberlain (Pearl Jam, Fiona Apple). The Burning of Rome is slated to extensively tour following the album's release, and will be playing Mexico City’s Vive Latino Festival alongside Arcade Fire, Polyphonic Spree, Nine Inch Nails, and AFI.
