An Introduction....

Black Atlass is the conception of Alex Fleming, an 19-year-old singer/songwriter from London, Ontario who, at the age of 17, wrote and produced the best EP you’ve never heard. The multi-instrumentalist producer pieced together this self-titled debut release in his basement studio in his spare time while completing his senior year of high school. Effortlessly stringing together influences that range from Frank Zappa to Prince to Frank Ocean, this golden child hones in on a sound and aesthetic that is at once immediate and timeless.

The "Paris" 12''

Armed with little more than his trusty keyboard and a soaring, ethereal voice, Montreal’s Black Atlass has created an entire world of music for when the lights go out. “Paris,” his hauntingly beautiful Fool’s Gold debut, filters classic melodies through perfectly sparse electronic production, resulting in an after-hours ballad for the ages. The single comes backed by an acoustic version that tugs at the heartstrings even harder, and marks the arrival of an important and unforgettable new talent.
