Hackerspaces Unite! is a meetup and workshop for people interested in starting a hackerspace, people who have started a hackerspace, and people who are members of hackerspaces to pool ideas and share experiences. It's a mini-hackerspace conference in a box.

This SXSW Create session at the Long Center is FREE and open to the public. However SXSW Interactive, Film, Gold and Platinum badges gain priority seating.

Martin is a native of both Santa Cruz, CA and Austin, TX. He has a radically eclectic background in everything from biochemistry to computer science. His activities and experience range from being a founder of ATX Hackerspace in Austin TX, creating the network and systems infrastructure that power Slashdot, Sourceforge, is a Linux Kernel engineer and Ubuntu maintainer, electronics engineer, and drone designer. You can most often find Martin by looking for the blur that just went by... he spends his spare time on a variety of projects.
