Makers Meet Mobile Photography
Photography is changing at a rapid pace: never before have we been able to share so quickly with so many people, and with such frequency.
Exploring our photographic interests today and the technology we currently have at our disposal may be able to tell us about what's around the corner, and allow us to shape it.
This SXSW Create session at the Long Center is FREE and open to the public. However SXSW Interactive, Film, Gold and Platinum badges gain priority seating.

Dan Rubin Photography
Dan Rubin is a photographer, designer, and creative director based in London. One of Instagram's earliest beta-testers and a speaker at the world's first mobile photography conference, 1197 (http://1197.is), his work was featured in iTunes upon Instagram's launch and he has become one of the most-followed, non-celebrity mobile photographers, with more than half a million followers on Instagram alone. After purchasing a Polaroid SX-70 in 2008, Dan was reintroduced to the love of photography and of cameras themselves, and now shoots using one of over 40 film and digital cameras, including 35mm, medium format, large format, and instant film. He is co-founder, editor-at-large, and publisher of The Photographic Journal (http://thephotographicjournal.com), co-creator and curator of the portrait photography exhibition 100 | 50 | 1 (http://100-50-1.is), and is planning further exhibitions in the US and Europe.
