KAREN INGRAM is an artist who lives in Brooklyn, NY. She has been profiled and created work for many publications including: Computer Arts Magazine, Digital Artist, Scientific American, and The FWA where she was named a "digital pioneer". She's graced the pages of titles from Die Gestalten (Berlin), Friends of Ed / Apress (NY), and Lawrence King (London). Her creations have adorned Japanese t-shirts, Australian wallets, New York scaffolding, and the stationary aisle of French bookstores.
Ingram is dedicated to building excitement and awareness around scientific innovation in unlikely places. She is a co-curator and co-emcee of the Brooklyn bar based science cabaret, The Empiricist League. She also a contributor to Cut/Paste/Grow, which celebrates innovation and creativity in the realm of bioart.
Ingram is currently working with scientist and instructor Dr. Natalie Kuldell, Ph.D. in the Biological Engineering at MIT on Biobuilder, a synthetic biology teaching resource.
