Latinos: The Next Social Superstars

#sxsw #latinostar

Everyone talks about the exploding influence Latinos have on society–from population growth to spending power, Hispanics are reshaping the cultural, social, political & economic landscape. Yet when it comes to mainstream media & general entertainment, the Latino talent pool has remained surprisingly small.
Finally, thanks to the ease & accessibility of smartphones, tablets & new technology, paired with the power of video sharing, a new crop of Latino social influencers are becoming the next generation of digital superstars.
In this session, we’ll provide the basic blueprint for how Latino content creators & aspiring talent can generate their own opportunities & maximize exposure for themselves by developing their own global platforms to showcase their work, engage an audience, and connect with advertisers, networks, & studios.
We’ll also discuss how the digital ecosystem is a fertile talent greenhouse & incubator for the next wave of big ideas & breakthrough Latin talent.

This Latinos in Tech session at the Holiday Inn is FREE and open to the public. However SXSW Interactive, Film, Gold and Platinum badges gain priority seating.
