Technology has fundamentally changed the way we think about knowledge, and classrooms are inevitably going to undergo deep structural changes in the next decade to reflect this. No policy will be able to prevent this. In this talk, 20 year old Connor Zwick talks about his perspective in education both as a participant in the system and as a change-maker from the outside as a Thiel Fellow and creator of Flashcards+, an iPhone app that has improved the way over 3 million students study.

After spending a year at Harvard, Connor Zwick decided to drop out to pursue his passion through the Thiel Fellowship and Y Combinator. With his cofounder, he invented the coco controller - a physical game controller for smartphones that allowed more intense gameplay. Prior to that, in high school, he started Flashcards+ which helped students study more effectively. It has been used by over 3 million students around the globe who have collectively created tens of millions of flashcards within the application.
