Crowdfunding Real Change for Girls & Women

#sxsw #Catapult

Iap27446

We all believe in equality for girls and women. #Duh. Yet less than 7% of funding goes to girls and women's causes, and one in four organizations that work on those issues is in danger of closing. To solve that problem, we created Catapult.
Catapult is a new crowdfunding site which connects people who care about justice with organizations working on the frontline for girls and women around the world. In its first year, Catapult achieved incredible results -- raising millions for nonprofit partners' projects around the world.
We believe it’s important that we find ways to work differently to advance the cause of girls and women’s rights. It’s time to get out of the bubble that gender equality has been stuck in, stop talking to ourselves, and reach out to new audiences, embracing innovative new ways of collaborating and communicating.
