This session will provide background into biohacking, how brands and agencies have started to experiment in this space, and the long-term implications of the movement for citizens, corporations, and public institutions alike.

Simeon Spearman works as a Senior Innovation Strategist at Engauge, a full-service agency in Atlanta, GA. Simeon graduated from Georgia Tech with a B.S. in International Affairs and Modern Languages (Japanese) before entering the Futures Studies graduate program at the University of Houston, one of only a handful of programs in the United States focused on technology forecasting, trendspotting, and scenario planning.
Simeon's career in strategic foresight has led him to work with different futures consultancies including Social Technologies, The Futures Lab, and Fast Future and a variety of clients ranging from McDonald's to Research in Motion and Philips. He now works as an innovation strategist in the advertising industry, applying futures thinking to develop traditional and digital marketing strategies based on emerging issues in media. His work within the advertising industry has benefited brands like Verizon Wireless, 20th Century Fox, Coca-cola, Georgia Pacific, and more.
