The automotive industry has begun to embrace HTML5 as a platform for developing in-dash applications and, as much as we'd like to think it's a joke, there are actually web-enabled refrigerators on the market.

Chicago HTML5 Meetup
I am a creative front-end engineer with extensive experience planning, managing and executing innovative standards-based user interface development. I've been the lead organizer for the Chicago HTML5 Meetup since August of 2012. During my time with the group, I've grown the membership from 400 to 900 members by offering a well-rounded event schedule that appeals to a core front-end developer and designer audience, as well as, back end engineers, user experience strategists and folks looking to learn more about the open web and HTML5 technologies.
I enjoy fostering community among my industry peers and working to bring standards-based web design and development to my clients in Chicago.
