Radio One / Interactive One Atlanta

Kelly Mayfield is Digital Sales Manager for Radio One Atlanta. In this role she is responsible for driving sales and revenue for all of Radio One’s digital properties including their online websites, mobile websites, mobile apps and social media platforms. She came to the Radio One family with more than twelve years of media and sales experience. Kelly began her career in radio sales at Katz Media Group beginning at the assistant level and working her way up to Sr. Account Executive. At Katz Media, Kelly served as a liaison between major ad agencies such as Initiative, Carat and Brunner and over 3500 radio stations and online properties across the country. She worked on major national advertising accounts including Bellsouth, Home Depot, Food Lion, Famous Footwear, Beazer Homes, Macy’s and Blue Cross Blue Shield. She served at Katz for over eight years. After leaving Katz she worked as the Senior Media Planner at IMAGES USA. Her duties included building media plans for major national advertisers including Amtrak and Hillshire Farm. Kelly is experienced with planning and buying all media including radio, TV, Out-of Home, online and mobile. Following IMAGES USA she honed her digital skills as the Director of Sales at Briabe Mobile for the Southeast region. She was responsible for driving sales and marketing strategies in order to best position with large advertisers and potential agency partners.
Kelly is an active member of several business organizations in the Atlanta area including the Atlanta Broadcasting Advertising Club, The Alliance for Women in Media and the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association. She is also a servant of her community as a member of the Junior League of Atlanta, a volunteer with the United Way of Atlanta and having served as the 2nd Vice President of the Atlanta Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for 4 years. She is currently the Social Action chair of that chapter. Kelly also started a program called “My Future Looks Bright” for the youth of southwest Atlanta. This program encourages children ages 12-17 to make decisions beyond high school including college, trade school, and the military. This program began January 2013 and meets monthly during the school year.
Kelly, a native of Atlanta, holds a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications from North Carolina A&T State University and a master’s degree in Business from Mercer University, Stetson School of Business.
