Mr. Layton’s presentation, titled “Racing in Reverse: The Quantitative Relationship Between Overtime, Defects and Project Slippage,” discusses the downsides of overtime as it relates to productivity, ways to accelerate projects, and using agile techniques to close the gap between defect introduction and defect identification. There will be many relevant applications to the process of game development.
Mark Layton is an industry-recognized expert on project/program management and an active coach on complex agile implementations. He is the Los Angeles chair for the Agile Leadership Network and the founder of Platinum Edge, an organizational improvement company that supports businesses looking to strategically improve project ROI. Mr. Layton is author of the book Agile Project Management for Dummies.
