Engaging millennials now takes more than just traditional outreach methods. Innovative approaches such as leveraging celebrity voices and platforms, new technologies and culturally relevant messaging is critical for impacting the social behavior of the fastest growing demographic. Join actor and activist Rosario Dawson, co-founder of Voto Latino, and moderator Alex Wagner, host of MSNBC’s “NOW with Alex Wagner,” for a conversation about how to effectively mobilize Latino millennials to create social change in their communities.

Alex Wagner is the host of MSNBC’s “NOW with Alex Wagner” (weekdays at 4 p.m. ET). Wagner had been an MSNBC analyst and a frequent MSNBC guest since 2010. Most recently, Wagner was a reporter with Huffington Post, where she covered innovation in the American economy, investigating the intersection of business, politics and new technology. Prior to this, Wagner served as the White House correspondent for Politics Daily, where she chronicled a number of international and domestic affairs ranging from the BP oil spill to the Egyptian revolution. From 2007 to 2009, Wagner was the Executive Director of Not On Our Watch, an advocacy and grant making non-profit founded by actors George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and Don Cheadle. Rosario Dawson has garnered praise not only for her numerous leading roles, but for her work with a range of influential organizations. In 2004, Dawson co-founded a non-partisan political organization called Voto Latino. Their outreach has targeted youth and helped register over 220,000 voters. Dawson was recently the recipient of a Latino Spirit Award, given to her by Governor Jerry Brown for her contributions to the Latino community and her leadership with Voto Latino.

Dawson is an active board member of V-Day, an organization founded by Eve Ensler, where she travels worldwide to stop violence against women. She is also an honorary co-chair of the Aspen Institute Task Force on Learning and the Internet which examines the tension between openness and safety in online learning.
