Over the next twenty years in India, an estimated 220 million people will move from the countryside to cities with many resettling in urban slums. With migration comes increased demand for utilities, including the need for clean drinking water. Already a daily struggle, a failure to secure clean water creates significant social and economic upheaval, shaping the very fabric of city life.
How can the smart use of connectivity, sensors and cloud services help meet this demand?
Join Jan Chipchase and frog as we share a recent design research study that explored the drinking water ecosystem in India’s urban slums. The insights gathered from this research will inform how technology and innovative service models can potentially deliver water for all.

I find it fascinating how a weaver uses math and creativity, reason and instinct to compose a beautiful piece of textile. In this world of new media, I strive to be a better craftsman, bringing to life the bigger picture.

I am a post graduate in Design from the National Institute of Design, India and currently work as a Senior Interaction Designer at frog Shanghai, spending most of my time at the cross roads of design and technology. Previously, I have been with Cisco, Google and Slideshare in design and development roles.
