Gabriella Coleman will appear at the South by Bookstore to sign copies of “Coding Freedom: The Ethics and Aesthetics of Hacking” following her Book Reading session.

Gabriella Coleman is the Wolfe Chair in Scientific & Technological Literacy, and a major and widely-recognized scholar of hackers, the Debian development community, trolling, Anonymous, and online activism. She has written many articles, taught classes, and delivered talks and interviews on these subjects for venues including TED, Al Jazeera, The New York Times, NPR, Fast Company, PBS, The Atlantic, Triple Canopy and others. Her book, Coding Freedom: The Ethics and Aesthetics of Hacking, is coming out with Princeton University Press in November 2012. She is currently at work on a book about the Anonymous movement and its implications.
