Roxy Myzal Sr Prod ROCK Programming United Stations Radio Networks

Roxy Myzal

Started her career in Boston in 1975 as director of the Boston Record Pool, an organization of disco club D.J.s. She moved to New York in 1977 to be the Music Director of WXLO-FM (99X) a pioneering hybrid Top 40 that played everything from Chic to Van Halen and became “the most listened to FM Station in the Nation.” Then she became the local promotion manager for Atlantic Records in NYC, and was promoted to National Disco Promotion Director where she worked with the Atlantic dance artists during the Disco Music explosion in the late 70’s.

After the disco ball dimmed, she spent some time with an independent promotion company, and then headed to Chrysalis Records for a National Rock Promotion position. From there she went to work at Rolling Stone and helped develop a radio network and worked with over 325 Album Oriented Rock stations that carried syndicated shows under the Rolling Stone banner.

From there she leaped to DIR Broadcasting ‘til 1985, when she was offered the Music Director position at a state of the art 24-hour LIVE music video television channel in Boston, V66. When the channel was sold to the Home Shopping Network in 1987, she moved to Los Angeles where she helped launch radio programming for the newly formed MCA Radio Network under the auspices of MCA Records and Universal Pictures.

From there, she accepted an executive producer position for a film production company, representing music video directors. In 1994, Sony and Warner formed SW Networks, and lured Myzal back to New York City to work on a new radio network and develop a show called Pure Concrete (then a heavy metal radio show done in conjunction with a hard rock promotion company, Concrete Marketing.) That show morphed into hardDrive. In 1997, the show was sold to MediaAmerica and then moved to United Stations in 2001. Roxy has been producing & writing hardDrive since its inception and in 2007, launched the nightly 7PM-Midnight daypart version, hardDrive XL.

Currently hardDrive is heard in over 100 markets and the XL is on in 35 markets via United Stations Radio Networks. During her exciting career, she has conducted thousands of artist interviews and helped launch countless artist careers. She continues to be based out of New York City, but can be seen in the audience and backstage at the biggest concerts in any city, at any time.

Bill McGathy Owner In De Goot Entertainment

Longtime record industry veteran Bill McGathy, who became the most important Active Rock indie radio promoter with his company McGathy Promotions, has successfully reinvented himself as a manager. McGathy’s In De Goot Entertainment, which he launched back in 1993, has turned into one of the premiere hard-rock management firms in the country and boasts an artist roster that defines rock music today. In De Goot represents a wide range of artists including several multi-platinum rock acts as well as a Grammy award winning artist and some more underground, fan favorites. His client roster now includes a solid mix of veteran acts such as Halestorm, Shinedown, Theory of a Deadman, Chevelle, Neon Trees, 10 Years, Adelita’s Way and Black Stone Cherry. Promising major label newcomers like New Medicine, along with underground buzz band American Fangs are sure to become household names under his guidance. Bill also created a production division consisting of in-demand rock producers Machine (Lamb of God, White Zombie) and Mike Watts (Saliva, Astallaslions), and up and coming songwriters Walt Lafty (Silvertide, Hawk Nelson) and Brian Vodihn (10 Years, Street Drum Corps). His most recent accomplishment brought In De Goot into the touring business, and created one of the summer’s most anticipated tours, the Carnival of Madness.
