Why I Moved My Investment to Austin
Not only is Austin a cool place to visit for SXSW, it’s increasingly recognized by tech investors as an optimal market for serial, high-ROI investments. Austin’s ample talent, business-friendly environment, low barrier to entry and badass lifestyle are fueling a new level of investor activity in the Lone Star State.
Join us to hear from local and out-of-towner investors about why they chose to invest in server and cloud analytics company, CopperEgg. Bob Quillin, CEO, Morgan Flager of Silverton Partners and Kenny Van Zant of Asana Ventures will share their reasons why placing the investor bet on Austin was the right-choice, short and long-term.
Morgan Flager joined Silverton in 2006. Prior to Silverton, Morgan worked with FTV Capital in San Francisco, where he focused on growth investments in technology and financial services. Prior to that, Morgan held various executive positions at Ingrian Networks (acquired by SafeNet) and Kintana (acquired by Mercury Interactive Corp.). Morgan received his BS from Stanford University. Morgan is currently an investor in CopperEgg, Famigo, Javelin, Outbound Engine, Socialware, Sparefoot, UnboundID and WP Engine.
