A short documentary film contrasting the northern lights of Canada's north with the harsh landscapes and decaying manmade debris littered around Churchill Manitoba. The film touches on the regenerative power of nature and the futility of mankind’s struggle against the natural processes of decay. Featuring an original score by Jim O'Rourke (Sonic Youth, Wilco) a voice-over by Will Oldham (Matewan, Old Joy) and some of the best footage of the aurora borealis ever captured.

Canadian filmmaker Kyle Armstrong focuses predominantly on short non-narrative film, frequently hand altering film footage and mixing it with HD and lofi video. Kyle has been working with Guy Maddin on his Spiritisms project as a “Deputized Director.” In 2012 he was a recipient of the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Emerging Artist Award.
