SXSW Community Workshop: Austin School of Film Youth M.A.F.I.A.

F42581

Since 2005, Texas high school students, ages 14-19, have come together to create short films in only 24 hours during the Annual Youth M.A.F.I.A Day Film Festival & Screening. This event takes place from 10am Saturday, March 9th - 10am on Sunday, March 10 at Anderson High School.

You and your team will have 24 hours to write, shoot, and edit a short film. You will receive a genre and a prop that HAS to be incorporated into your short film. Your team will be required to have four students.

Austin School of Film will provide Saturday lunch & dinner, and Sunday breakfast in addition to snacks & drinks. You and your team will also be able to access the editing labs to edit your short films.

All finished work will be screened as part of the SXSW Community Screenings: Austin School of Film's Youth M.A.F.I.A. Screening.

There is VERY LIMITED space in this annual event and to ensure your dedication we are asking a $10 registration fee to secure YOUR SPOT at M.A.F.I.A 2013. If you are unable to pay $10, we can waive the fee. To participate, contact the Austin School of Film at www.austinfilmschool.org. Spaces are limited, so sign up now!
