Mickey McManus will appear at the South by Bookstore to sign copies of “Trillions: Thriving in the Emerging Information Ecology” following his solo session.

Mickey McManus is president and CEO of MAYA Design, a technology design and innovation lab focused on "taming complexity." He leads a team of cognitive psychologists, ethnographers, computer scientists, electrical and mechanical engineers, mathematicians, visual and industrial designers, architects, game designers, and filmmakers. This interdisciplinary team focuses on designing for people in a trillion-node world--a world whose scale and complexity will dwarf that of today's Internet. Mickey and team help organizations kick-start business innovation in the age of Trillions.
He holds a BFA in industrial design from the University of Illinois, with extended studies in communication design and mathematics. His work has been published in Bloomberg Businessweek, Fortune, Fast Company, the Wall Street Journal, and Harvard Business Review. He is a frequent speaker on the topic of design, pervasive computing, education, creative cultures, and business innovation.
