MODERATOR Jeff Liebenson Principal Liebenson Law

Jeff Liebenson is President of the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers, and a Principal of Liebenson Law in New York City.

He concentrates his practice in the music and television industries, digital entertainment and intellectual property law.

Jeff represented EMI in the first iTunes negotiations with Apple, Sony in establishing its Pressplay online service with Universal, and Gracenote in obtaining digital lyric licensing rights from the music publishing industry.

He previously was chief legal/business affairs executive for the international division of BMG Entertainment overseeing music, video, videogame and digital activities in 53 countries.

Jeff negotiates complex rights agreements, acquisitions, joint ventures among multi-territorial companies and distribution agreements. He consults on copyright and trademark issues, including those relating to digital entertainment.

Jeff is the Editor of "User-Generated Content: New Business Models and Legal Issues," published by the IAEL.

Tahir is a Partner at Sheridans and is a highly experienced Intellectual Property, commercial and digital media lawyer.

Tahir’s practice has a particular focus on the convergence of creative content and technology and he has built up a reputation “as the go to person on digital”. Tahir is a member of the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers and also The Industry London.

He is also a guest lecturer at Kings College London University, SOAS University, Queen Mary University and the Brit School and a judge on the annual International Monroe Moot Competition at Oxford University. Tahir has also appeared as a judge on various technology strategy board competitions.
