Advanced Social Media Monitoring

RSVP Required - The advanced social media monitoring workshop will exist in two parts. The first half will assess the state of the social media monitoring industry from bottom to top.
Examples will be given on the holistic affects it's had on industries. These examples will come from both brand and agency representatives, with case studies of the cause and the effect behind social media monitoring initiatives.
The second half will be consumed primarily with where social media monitoring is going and what needs to happen for it to get there. This will be framed with a technical best practices presentations, where analysts walk through the creation of a high level brand report with frontline tactics and tools .
Combined, both halves will provide a outline of the past, present and future of social media monitoring. Attendees will takeaway how to keep clients happy and what must be done to remain ahead of the competition.

Prerequisites:
An understanding of basic analytics, marketing terminology, and social media platforms is helpful. We'll be sending out a survey form to attendees prior to the event, and using this as part of the workshop.

What to Bring:
The instructors will make workshop materials available online for attendees, but you should bring paper and a pen to take notes and sketch out ideas. You should also bring real-world problems we can share and brainstorm as a group.

Alistair Croll Founder Solve For Interesting

Alistair has been an entrepreneur, author, and public speaker for nearly 20 years. He’s worked on a variety of topics, from web performance, to big data, to cloud computing, to startups, in that time. In 2001, he co-founded web performance startup Coradiant (acquired by BMC in 2011), and since that time has also launched Rednod, CloudOps, Bitcurrent, Year One Labs, the Bitnorth conference, the International Startup Festival and several other early-stage companies.

Alistair is the chair of O’Reilly’s Strata conference, Cloud Connect, and Interop’s Enterprise Cloud Summit. This is his fourth book on analytics, technology, and entrepreneurship. Alistair lives in Montreal, Canada and tries to mitigate chronic ADD by writing about far too many things at Solve For Interesting.

Margaret Francis is the Vice President of Social Products at ExactTarget (NYSE:ET), a SAAS company that builds interactive digital marketing applications. She is the former VP Product at Lithium Technologies/Scout Labs, a leading SCRM (social CRM) company focused on customer communities, game theory and social listening and analytics. Prior to co-founding Scout Labs, she was the Director of Strategy and Analytics at Razorfish, where she developed marketing and technology strategies for Fortune 500 companies. Her customers and clients include companies such as Netflix, Coca-Cola, Visa, United Airlines, Nike, Apple, Citibank and Disney. She is a frequent speaker on the topic of social media management and metrics and their integration into marketing strategy and program measurement.
