SXSW Community Screenings: Austin School of Film's Youth M.A.F.I.A. Screening

Seventy highschool students agreed to be locked down for 24 hours to write, shoot, and edit a short film. Come see the product of this madness screened at TBA for The Austin School of Film's annual Youth M.A.F.I.A. Program.Films are judged according to their story, technical merit, and the filmmaker's ability to incorporate proscribed guidelines. Categories include Best Use of Prop and Best Cinematography. All participants of M.A.F.I.A. receive certificates of participation and coupons for discounted ASoF courses. In addition to the M.A.F.I.A short films, we will also be showcasing the animation works created in our SXSW Animation Workshop @ The George Washington Carver Museum.
