Mr. Pauer (Toto González) is a Latin Grammy® Nominated producer and re-mixer born in the Caribbean city of Puerto la Cruz, Venezuela, based in Miami, FL for over 18 years.

Due to his long career as a DJ and producer, he is considered one of the pioneers in the new sounds of Latin electronica receiving recognition from top taste-makers such as BBC/NPR (PRI’s The World), KCRW (Los Ángeles), KEXP (Seattle/NYC) and Circuito Mega / Venezuela (Canción Ñ de La Semana), reaching KCRW’s “Top 50” chart alongside artists like the Beastie Boys, Coldplay, and Arctic Monkeys, as well as positioning himself in the charts of other top college radios within the U.S.

His debut album, Soundtrack, has earned him a nomination by the Latin Academy of Recording Arts for Best Alternative Album in the 12th annual Latin Grammy® Awards.

Apple iTunes Latino and iTunes Mexico also recognized him as "Song of the Week" in May 2011, achieving over 50,000 downloads for his song, “Cumbion del Sur,” and he has been included in important podcasts such as Red Bull Panamerika Radio, Properly Chilled, and Music That Matters.

Additional highlights in Mr. Pauer’s career include performances in the 10th Annual Latin Grammy Awards as the official DJ, the iconic music festival Central Park Summerstage, and an invitation to serve as a panelist for the Latin Alternative Music Conference’s (LAMC) @DIGITAL panel, discussing how to engage your audience & monetize in the process with key speakers from Twitter, Youtube, and Terra.

His latest achievements thus far are his selections to perform in Canada’s POP Montreal in late September 2011, where he was the first artist to represent Venezuela, and Miami, as well as NYC’s iconic CMJ Music Marathon in October 2011. Both festivals gather over 50,000 people and more than 400 bands over the course of 5 days filled with shows spread around different venues in each city.

Mr. Pauer’s musical influences consist of diverse musical genres ranging from rock, electro, new wave, and house, to tropical, cumbia, and afro-beats, creating the dynamic musical explosion heard in his album and his live shows.

“Living back in Venezuela I grew up listening to Anglo and Spanish rock, my mother used to listen to boleros, my dad to traditional Venezuelan music, my older brothers to American 80’s pop, and to socialize I had to learn how to dance salsa and merengue. Magically after years, I connected the dots unconsciously creating an array of sounds that identify with the culture I grew up with.” says Mr. Pauer, which he defines his musical style as “Electrópico”.
