Bosco Delrey, producer and purveyor of experimental pop and rock n roll, spent early 2011 playing in support of like-minded, genre-blurring acts Sleigh Bells and CSS, previewing his debut LP, Everybody Wah, for crowds across the United States. Hailing from New Jersey by way of Memphis, Bosco's production and musicianship reference the sounds of Sun Studios-era recordings, southern rap, church hymns and dancehall, updating lo-fi guitar twang with pop beats and vintage synthesizers to create a wall of distorted dance-grunge. This seemingly impossible alchemy first materialized in late 2010 with a pair of stellar 7-inches, "Wild One/Evil Lives" and "Space Junky/My My Racecar" released on Diplo's Mad Decent imprint, both of which are also available digitally.
The finishing touches of the predominantly bedroom-produced Everybody Wah were recorded in the summer of 2010 at the acclaimed Memphis, TN studio of Doug Easley (White Stripes, Sonic youth, Pavement, Wilco, Cat Power). The record sees the crystallization of what Los Angeles's KCRW has called "perfectly surreal pop beat troubadourism for modern America....Hopeful, absurd, shambolic, catchy, and lean....great for singing along while tearing your bills and job applications into party confetti!"
