After a few years off, The Jealous Sound have returned true to form with a new album entitled 'A Gentle Reminder' to be released in February 2012. Their previous and debut album, 'Kill Them With Kindness', received rave reviews from critics all over theworld. Spin Magazine called it a Top 40 Album of the Year and Pitchfork gave it a 6.8.

After a U.S. tour with Sunny Day Real Estate last year, Blair Shehan, Pedro Benito, Bob Penn, Nate Mendel, and Josh Staples (bass on 2 tracks) recorded 10 new tracks in Los Angeles' Studio 606 with producer John "Lou" Lousteau. Nate took a break from his day job as Foo Fighters bass man to lay down bass on eight tracks and Josh added his bass skills on a couple tracks. The album was mastered by multi-Grammy award winning engineer Gavin Lurssen.

Their new track 'Your Eyes Were Shining' is already available to stream online from theband's Soundcloud & Facebook. More tracks will be available soon for streaming as well as the pre-order for the album in CD & LP format.
