Family of the Year
Combining soft harmonies, comforting guitar chords and toe tapping beats for irresistibly catchy songs that will have you jumping out of your seat - Family Of The Year (FOTY) - Joe Keefe (vocals, guitars), Sebastian Keefe (drums, vocals), James Buckey (guitars, vocals) and Christina Schroeter (keyboards, vocals) – has accomplished a healthy dose of success in such a short amount of time. After years of co-habitating in a run-down house and relying on each other for inspiration and support, the members of the Los Angeles outfit have formed unbreakable bonds that are undeniable in their infectious live performances and prolific songwriting. The band has already played sold-out shows in England and across Europe, including a triumphant set at France’s largest music festival Les Vieilles Charrues, and garnered support stints with Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, Mumford & Sons, Group Love, and Milo Greene. Early supporters have included NPR, Guardian UK, NME, CMJ and the BBC to name a few.
Currently the group is preparing for its busiest schedule yet, with a full US tour supporting Belle Brigade and Good Old War launching in March 2012, and two dreamy and irresistibly catchy new releases: the St. Croix EP, which is coming out March 6 via Nettwerk Records, and the full-length Diversity, which is due in summer 2012.
