MORNING PARADE ANNOUNCE ASTRALWERKS DEBUT WITH SINGLE “HEADLIGHTS” TO BE RELEASED MARCH 13TH, 2012
LIVE DATES CONFIRMED AS SPECIAL GUESTS OF THE KOOKS IN ADDITION TO SXSW PERFORMANCES
SET TO COLLABORATE WITH ASPIRING FILMMAKERS TO CREATE NEW MUSIC VIDEO
(February 16th, 2012) - Hailing from Essex, England, Morning Parade is proud to announce the release of their debut single on March 13th via Astralwerks as well as live tour dates in March as special guests of The Kooks and SXSW live dates. This release will be preceded by a competition in partnership with cutting-edge global social contest platform, Talenthouse, to create a brand new music video for the band’s upcoming single “Headlights.“
This single will be released digitally on March 13th but will also appear on their brand new, limited edition, numbered E.P., The Hated & The Loved, to be made exclusively available via MorningParade.com and at the band’s live shows. Since causing waves of excitement with the UK release of their limited edition first single “Under the Stars”, Morning Parade’s star has been steadily on the rise. Heavily tipped at the beginning of 2011, Morning took their time to write songs they wanted to make whilst building a solid and loyal fanbase all across Europe thanks to their extensive touring schedule.
2011 saw the band selling out UK and European headline tours, playing to packed out tents at V Festival, touring with the likes of 30 Seconds to Mars, The Wombats and The Kooks, supporting Biffy Clyro at Ibiza Rocks and sharing a stage with Coldplay at Rock am Ring.
The band is inviting film-makers to create their own music videos for “Headlights”. The winning submission, chosen by the band using Facebook and Twitter public votes as a guide will be announced on April 2nd, and will become the official music video for the upcoming single.
A “People’s Choice” winner will also be selected via a public vote and will win a Canon Digital Camera and an EMI merchandise bag.
