Jake Ottmann VP of A&R EMI Music Publishing

Jake Ottmann's recent successes as East Coast Creative Vice President at EMI Publishing include early signing and development of bands The Fray, Chiddy Bang, Neon Hitch, Metro Station, and Boys Like Girls, as well as the co-signing of 3OH!3. Other signings include writer producer John Hill (Rihanna, Portugal The Man, Shakira, Santogold), Shirazi, and rockers Coheed and Cambria. Simultaneously he was co-founding partner of DGM Artist Management with a roster that included Superdrag (Elektra), Lifter (Interscope) and many other credible artists. His initial job in the music business started as an assistant at Elektra Records where he worked his way up to Sr. Director of East Coast Alternative Radio Promotion eventually overseeing the radio efforts for the alternative music roster. Of note, he was co-founder of indie label Fingerpaint Records, which became a fertile ground for developing artists, most notably Beck.
