Jeremy Yohai started his career at ASCAP, where he spent 7 years recruiting and helping the career development of emerging songwriters including Vampire Weekend, Animal Collective, Diplo and Dr. Dog, among others. Jeremy then joined Downtown Music Publishing in 2008, where he oversees Downtown’s roster of songwriters and artists. During his time with the company, Downtown’s writers have written/composed songs for Miley Cyrus, Carrie Underwood, Rihanna, Black Eyed Peas, Jay Z, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Beyonce. Jeremy also was a contributor to the building and development of Songtrust –the first online music publishing administration company for DIY songwriters, where he manages Songtrust’s writer relations, operations and partnership opportunities.
Jake Ottmann's recent successes as East Coast Creative Vice President at EMI Publishing include early signing and development of bands The Fray, Chiddy Bang, Neon Hitch, Metro Station, and Boys Like Girls, as well as the co-signing of 3OH!3. Other signings include writer producer John Hill (Rihanna, Portugal The Man, Shakira, Santogold), Shirazi, and rockers Coheed and Cambria. His most recent signing, Elle King recently signed to RCA and he’s very excited for her forthcoming release.
Prior to EMI Music Publishing, Jake was an A&R Consultant at BMG International and also had a run as the General Manager of the U.S. office at Dedicated Records North America, where he signed artist Beth Orton and Deep Dish. Simultaneously he was co-founding partner of DGM Artist Management with a roster that included Superdrag (Elektra), Lifter (Interscope) and many other credible artists. His initial job in the music business started as an assistant at Elektra Records where he worked his way up to Sr. Director of East Coast Alternative Radio Promotion eventually overseeing the radio efforts for the alternative music roster. Of note, he was co-founder of indie label Fingerpaint Records, which became a fertile ground for developing artists, most notably Beck. Jake's independent spirit combined with his skill to intuitively develop artists has enabled him to keep an eye on the big picture; a big picture that is seeing some great success in the music industry.
