Joachim Ng Dir, Financing & Intl Co-op IDA Singapore

Joachim Ng currently serves as Director of Financing and International Co-operation at Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA). His responsibilities include developing the media financing ecosystem in Singapore and developing platforms for government and industry partnerships to collaboration. MDA is the lead government agency that regulates and promotes the media sector in Singapore. Prior to joining MDA, Joachim had spent 10 years in San Francisco with the IDA and the Economic Development Board (EDB) of Singapore. During his stay in San Francisco, Joachim looked at promoting cross border investments and growing the IT, media and digital entertainment industries in Singapore. Joachim is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned both his bachelors and masters degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering.

Keith Ng CEO GameMaki

Keith is the co-founder and CEO of Gametize, a gamification startup based in Singapore. Currently, he is hustling for the startup's flagship product, GameMaki, a social discovery application on the web and mobile (iPhone) for fun social challenges (e.g. photo fads), and also a platform for marketers to create white-label gamified campaigns. Prior to this venture, Keith co-founded FameMark.com, a fantasy market to trade shares of new friends and a Facebook's fbFund 2009's top 50 finalist.

Keith had spoken on topics in social applications and gamification in events such as Facebook Dev Garage and GamificationSG. He believes the best experiences are complemented through playing, and that fun should not be limited to just online games, but also in real life socially.

Kelly Choo Co-founder Brandtology

Kelly is driven by his passion about social media and its impact on how it affects brands and the everyday user on the Internet. His interest in technology and utilizing it for marketing and branding purposes has lead him to be constantly on the cutting edge of matching business needs with Internet innovation.

Kelly first dabbled into the early forms of Internet interactions and commerce through his Diploma from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and an Honors Degree in Computing (e-Commerce) with a minor in Techno-preneurship from the National University of Singapore (NUS).He was previously involved in co-teaching the 1st Asian Facebook application development course and came from a computer security role in the Singapore Armed Forces. He also worked in the US as an IT consultant while studying in UPenn/Wharton. In his undergraduate years, he was involved with launching two start-ups and now advising a few more.

Kelly was part of the initial planning and development of the Brandtology technology and services, which is recognized as one of the leading online intelligence service providers today.

His role in Brandtology is to ensure that the company's products and services give customers and partners the most value possible and to foster mutually beneficial partnerships with people and organizations globally. He has worked with brands such as Microsoft, RIM, P&G, Unilever, Estee Lauder, various government ministries, etc. and a number of the global marketing, PR, digital and research agencies as partners.

He has been quoted in various media such as the BBC, ZDNet Asia, Channel News Asia, etc on various topics such as how Social Media has changed the world, online branding, etc.

Steven Tong Center Dir IDA Singapore

Steven Tong has over 10 years of experience working with technology companies in Singapore and the United States. He is currently Center Director at IDA’s Silicon Valley office and had spent his past 3 years helping US startups expand their Asian operations in Singapore. He also advises Singapore companies expanding to the US or seeking investment/partnership opportunities. Prior to this, Steven covered the education sector in Singapore and worked with companies to develop products that improve teaching and learning in K-12 schools. Steven was also part of the team that developed the iN2015 Education and Learning masterplan for Singapore. Steven received a Bsc (hons) in Computing & Information Systems from the University of London and an M.B.A. from University of Leeds.
