Mentor Sessions provide an opportunity to receive more personalized input than a larger panel can offer. Sign-up begins half an hour before the mentor session. Sessions are scheduled in ten-minute increments. You can only sign up for sessions on the day that they are held.
ADAM HERZOG has been Head of Touring and A&R at Glassnote Records for the last four years, where he had a key role in signing and maintaining the label’s artist roster, as well as marketing and promoting each artist’s live tour dates. Adam graduated from Boston University in 2007 where he was active at college radio and setting up local shows.
BLAKE NEELY is an Emmy-nominated composer for film and television. His wide range of credits include scores for HBO’s acclaimed mini-series “The Pacific,” the recent romantic comedy “Life As We Know It,” and hit television series “The Mentalist,” “Brothers & Sisters,” “Everwood,” and more. He has also composed additional music for such blockbuster films as “King Kong,” “The Last Samurai,” the “Pirates of the Caribbean” trilogy, among others.
BRIAN A. BLOOM is a Partner at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP and Director of the firm's Entertainment and Intellectual Property Practice Group. Mr. Bloom’s practice concentrates on complex commercial litigation, entertainment and intellectual property matters. Mr. Bloom counsels fortune 500 companies, major record companies, concert tour promoters, individual entertainers, musicians, photographers and authors with respect to a diverse range of intellectual property matters. In addition, Mr. Bloom represents several major merchandising companies with respect to entertainment related litigation and complex corporate transactions involving intellectual property issues. His practice includes representation of a variety of clients in civil litigation involving claims of copyright and trademark infringement, counterfeiting, trade dress, false advertising, unfair competition, right of publicity, privacy, and defamation. Mr. Bloom has pursued cybersquatters in federal court, ICAAN arbitration proceedings, and in complex WIPO actions.
JENNI SPERANDEO has a 15-year career in radio promotion, tour promotion, artist development and event marketing. She has worked independently in radio promotion and artist management, as well as in executive positions at record labels such as Rhino, Astralwerks,Virgin, Shout! Factory, Razor & Tie and her current position with Dangerbird Records.
JILL STERNHEIMER’s 20 plus year career in the Music Business has been the road less travelled. She has done everything from Eddie Van Halen’s laundry to producing an outdoor concert of 200 amateur guitars lining Damrosch Park at Lincoln Center. She has run corporate sponsorships and worked in public radio. She also had her own merchandise company making bags out of vintage record covers which took her all over the world. For the past three years she has been the Associate Producer of Public Programming at Lincoln Center, producing amazing FREE concerts by the likes of Patti Smith, Allen Toussaint, Dave Brubeck and ? and the Mysterians.
Jo Lenardi is the sales and radio plugger for Seattle based indie label Barsuk Records. Barsuk has supported and released music by some of the most acclaimed and successful artists in indie rock including Ra Ra Riot, Menomena, David Bazan, Nada Surf, The Long Winters, Jesse Sykes and Death Cab For Cutie (whose first five albums remain in the Barsuk catalog) as well as a slew of recent signings including Maps&Atlases, The Wooden Birds, Say Hi, Phantogram and Cymbals Eat Guitars.
JOAN MYERS is a public relations executive with more than 15 years of integrated marketing and public relations expertise developing and launching media campaigns and implementing strategies for major consumer brands, recording artists and entertainment properties. As president and founder of Myers Media, Joan has represented Grammy winners Alison Krauss, Bonnie Raitt, Ruth Brown; both major and independent labels Sony Music, Rounder, BMG, Warner Bros., Arista, Atlantic, Curb, Ryko, High Tone, Tone Cool; consumer goods manufacturers, the US Postal Service, Billboard Books, DSI Toys, Susan Ciminelli Spa Care Products; cable networks MTV, ABC Kids, Fuse, The Nashville Network, and The Box. In addition, Joan has also overseen pro-social outreach for The Michael Awards, the Rhythm & Blues Foundation, the T.J. Martell Foundation, and the Blues Foundation.
SHARI REICH is a manager of A&R at Jive as well as a manager of a band (Atomic Tom) recently signed to Universal Republic.
Thaddeus Rudd is GM at Mom+Pop, an independent label based in New York. Mom + Pop works with artists including Sleigh Bells, Metric, Freelance Whales, Ingrid Michaelson, Tokyo Police Club, Joshua Radin, An Horse and others.
