Mentor Sessions provide an opportunity to receive more personalized input than a larger panel can offer. Sign-up begins half an hour before the mentor session. Sessions are scheduled in ten-minute increments. You can only sign up for sessions on the day that they are held.
BRIAN MALOUF pursued a career in music with unwavering passion from the age of 8 years. A first chair symphonic percussionist by the end of his university days, and later drumming for a noted L.A. based rock and roll band, he became immersed in sound engineering in 1980. He became chief engineer of Can-Am Re- corders in 1981. In 1994 he joined RCA Records as VP of A&R/Staff Producer and signed acts like The Verve Pipe, Eve 6, and Trik Turner, and looked after them through 2005. In January 2008, Brian joined Walt Disney Records as VP/Head of A&R. Brian’s chief re- sponsibilities are to oversee, mix, executive produce and nurture new talent within the Disney family of entertainers, including Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Jonas Brothers, Bridgit Mendler and Billy Ray Cyrus; His responsibilities also include executive production for TV series soundtracks, as well as companion soundtrack pieces (eg. Almost Alice from Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland”); Brian also oversees production and coordination for dozens of Disney franchise related companion pieces for Disney Channel children’s shows and related artists/films eg. Tron and Pirates of the Carribean.
GOURMET DELICE is a co-founder and co-owner of Bonsound, primarily an artist management company, but also a booking agency, a promoter and a PR agency. Bonsound manages Malajube, DJ Champion, Les Breastfeeders, Monogrenade, Radio Radio and Philippe B. Bonsound is based in Montreal and also operates as a record company under which two different labels evolve: Blow the Fuse and Bonsound Records.
HAYLEY KAUFMAN is a writer and editor based in Brooklyn who covers all-things music, entertainment, and popular culture-related for magazines like Relix, Teen Vogue, Tokion, and SPIN and popular web destinations like Refinery 29, Readymade.com, and GrandLifeNYC. Formerly the Online Editor of the popular SF-based Magazine 7x7, and the Associate editor of Jewcy.com, Kaufman is well versed in the world of online editorial. While she spends much of her professional time chasing after the next “It” band to profile or cultural phenom to dissect, in her downtime she covers the sex, dating, and relationship beat for Ladies Home Journal, LIVE FAST MAG, and her own site Venus in Heels.

SARAH SMITH is a Los Angeles based artist manager at Constant Artists Management, a boutique management company with a roster including Spoon, Okkervil River, Explosions in the Sky. She also constitutes the the Los Angeles branch of Bank Robber Music, a 3rd party film/tv/commercial licensing company that represents the catalogs of independent labels such as Merge, Barsuk, Secretly Canadian, Jagjaguwar, Dead Oceans, Thrill Jockey, and many others.
TOM BLANKENSHIP is a founding member and bass player for Grammy nominated band My Morning Jacket.
