We're all for sale on the internet. Transactions that used to happen between us in the real world - signing Employment Contracts, paying the babysitter, picking up a prostitute - have gone digital. In this Core Conversation at SXSW Interactive, we're going to take a quick 360 tour of what's for sale in the emerging human ecommerce industry, from crowdsourcing and outsourcing, to caregiver networks and expert networks, to webcams and dating apps. We're going to look for clues to where the human ecommerce industry is headed by charting parallels to the rise of ecommerce. We're also going to talk about the Craigslist Adult Services controversy and explore the extent to which a different kind of transaction, human trafficking, is digitizing.
