The mobile market is flooded with fun, useful and engaging applications. These apps are becoming increasingly important to a company’s success but many companies are simply recreating their product for mobile without giving adequate consideration to the differences in mobile and Web based usage patterns. Additionally, specific benefits that the Apple and Android platforms offer are commonly not fully leveraged. During this session, Aaron Forth, vice president of product for Mint.com and director of Intuit Personal Finance Group, will discuss how companies can analyze customer usage patterns to develop the best possible mobile application and mold the app to harness the advantages of each platform.

Aaron brings more than 10 years of product development and product management experience to the Intuit Personal Finance Group. He was one of the foundational employees at Mint.com, serving as the company’s vice president of product. Prior to joining Mint.com, Aaron held several leadership positions at eBay and Half.com (acquired by eBay Inc.). Most recently, as Director of Advertising, Aaron was responsible for product strategy, design and product development. Aaron has a background in multivariate testing used to drive analytically based decisions around product design, improved user experience and strategic partnerships. Prior to working in advertising, Aaron managed Internet marketing and product management teams, focused on search engine marketing, search engine optimization and affiliate marketing. Aaron’s career in software was established at Kana Communications, Inc., a CRM software start-up. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences from University of California, Berkeley.
