Creating an Effective Marketing Intern Program

Would you like a helping hand that is affordable, accommodating, and productive? With the explosion of Web and mobile applications, now more than ever, companies could benefit from a helping hand. With so much to do, and so little time, Amanda and Caroline share how to knockout that online marketing to-do list with an internship program, where they address how to assess the workload, create a mutually beneficial program and recruit Rockstar interns. Amanda and Caroline will share strategies and tactics on: (1) Finding ideal tasks for interns (2) Developing the internship program structure (3) Setting expectations on free versus paid. This presentation intends to show you how to create a win-win situation for both your company and your interns.

Caroline Lim Co-Founder GoMarket.me

With limited internship possibilities while pursing my Marketing degree, I followed my intuition and strayed away from the “Corporate America” path. Fortunately, I was offered a stellar internship at an ambitious start-up company that opened many doors to my success. Since then, I have parlayed my valuable experience into one start-up after another. My previous experience focused around internet marketing with a concentration in marketing communications. Currently, I have ventured beyond my comfort zone and dove into something completely new: Search Engine Marketing. I get a thrill out of challenging new opportunities and believe in learning through hands-on experience, growing from failures, and receiving guidance from peers. My personal values include: 1) maintaining a healthy balance between work and play; 2) motivation, dedication, and confidence are the basis for success; and of course, 3) the Golden Rule: treat others as you would like to be treated. On a more personal note, I am a pessimistic optimist whose life is dependent upon a pink planner. I can multi-task like no one's business, have a serious shopping problem, and blame my unrealistic expectations of men on Disney.
