The Last of the Launch-and-Leave 'Ems

Negotiating the new handover. Agencies are building fewer static campaign-oriented sites and more platforms, communities and services. Cutting the apron strings between agency and digital product immediately after launch doesn't make practical sense, but maintaining the relationship indefinitely is costly for the client and creatively stifling for the agency. This panel will explore solutions that are most likely to be beneficial to both parties as well as the members of the service they are trying to build: a new plan for launch, propagation and perpetuation.

Anjali Ramachandran Made by Many

Anjali Ramachandran works with social technology company Made by Many in London. Made by Many helps clients conceive, design and build innovative products and services for a networked world. Anjali is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. She has a Master's degree in Social Policy from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Stella Maris College, India.

Conrad Lisco Group Dir R/GA

Conrad Lisco leads the social media team at R/GA as part of the Mobile & Social platforms group. In his role, he guides the delivery of social media strategy and innovation for a roster of brands, working in close collaboration across disciplines. Outside of the office, he is involved with several social media-based projects including Town Holler, which brings together passionate Foursquare users (a big hit at last year’s SXSWi).

Mel Exon Managing Partner BBH Labs

Mel Exon is co-founder and Managing Partner of BBH Labs, Bartle Bogle Hegarty's global innovation unit. BBH is an independently owned, global creative ad agency with six regional hubs worldwide. BBH Labs is the agency's outwardly-focused, technology-driven innovation arm focused on ensuring the company is as smart as possible when it comes to change and the embracing of emerging platforms, processes and partners. Peter Parkes Skype

Peter Parkes is an entrepreneurial twentysomething, breathing, drinking and working in London. He leads the social media function at Skype as part of the global communications team, managing a global roster of agencies and guiding Skype’s social media activities and philosophy. Outside of the office, he enjoys eating, swimming pools, gin martinis, Lego and Alan Hollinghurst novels.
