"2011 is the year for next generation TV and movie services: providing people with easy access to an unprecedented amount of content (web video, linear TV, TV catch up and movie on demand services). There is a growing need for intelligent, personalised filters so people can find the content they want at the right time. This presentation aims to chart the key changes in TV's evolution from 'dumb' to 'smart', and highlight the best examples of personalised TV services available today and predict how these (and future) services will change the way we consume and interact with TV. "

I am an entrepreneurial and creative tech/media CEO. I make things happen by blending a highly focussed strategic purpose with the right people.
At The Filter, I have established the company as a world-leader in relevance and personalisation technologies. We are backed by Peter Gabriel and Eden Ventures and we have customers in the US (e.g. NBC Universal, Sony) and Europe (e.g. Nokia, Dailymotion). Via our network of customers, we provide over 1 billion recommendations to over 150m unique users every month.
Before The Filter, I launched iSporty (the sports social network), founded Digital-DNA (digital consultancy) and Future Plus (the content agency).
And before that... I sat on Future Publishing's BoD and ran all of Future's web operations in Europe (over 55 web properties in 5 countries).
Other than working, I make music, draw and spend as much time with my family as I possibly can.
