Robin Rather

Robin Rather is a nature-based solutions and sustainability expert and facilitator with over 20 years of track record working with a long list of public and private sector clients. She is also co-founder of the brand new start up RewildATX.

Most recently she served as the Chief Operating Officer and a founding Board member for BCarbon, a non-profit carbon market registry spawned out of Rice University and the Baker Institute for Energy Studies. While there, she grew the multi-disciplinary stakeholder group from 60 members to over 600 members, helped lead the development of four groundbreaking science backed protocols (soil carbon, forest carbon, blue carbon and methane reduction) and helped launch partnerships covering co-benefits/ biodiversity and equity, diversity and inclusion.

Rather’s consulting firm, Collective Strength is based in Austin and since 2003 has worked on more than 50 transformative projects covering climate mitigation, land conservation, water protection, regional planning, health care, transit and biodiversity. Clients include Fortune 500 companies, cities, regional agencies, non-profits and universities.

Previously, Rather served as a senior executive/ VP in the global tech industry analyzing emerging trends and tracking innovation across hardware, software and network sectors. She holds a BA in Sociology from Tufts University.
