Amanda Lawson

Amanda Lawson is a policy expert and practitioner dedicated to responsible AI and equitable tech policy. She joined the Responsible AI Institute in 2021 and currently serves as AI Policy Manager.
In this role, Amanda leads the facilitation of responsible AI organization and system-level assessments, implementation of the Institute's policy priorities, and stakeholder engagement with civil society, academia, policymakers, civil society, and the broader community. Amanda previously worked as a tech policy consultant and in fiscal policy research at nonprofits like PolicyLink and the Vera Institute of Justice. Amanda has been recognized as one of 2024’s 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics and received her degree in Public Policy from New York University's Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service.
