Veronica Stidvent

Veronica Vargas Stidvent is the Executive Director of the Center for Women in Law at The University of Texas. Previously, she was the Chancellor of Western Governors University Texas. She also served as Head of Education and Training at Dimensional Fund Advisors and as a lecturer at the McCombs School of Business. Experienced in government, she served as Special Assistant to the Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs in the Office of Management and Budget and as Special Assistant to the President of the United States for Policy. In 2004, she was appointed by President George W. Bush as Assistant Secretary for Policy in the U.S. Department of Labor. She earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her J.D. from Yale Law School.
