Nazish Jeffery

As a biochemist and bioeconomy thought leader, Nazish focuses on finding evidence-based policies to strengthen biotech and biomanufacturing, and defining, measuring, and standardizing the U.S. bioeconomy. Currently the Bioeconomy Policy Manager at the Federation of American Scientists, Nazish advances the inclusion of sustainability and the role of environmental biotech in the U.S. bioeconomy, as well as the role of regional economies in advancing the U.S. bioeconomy. As a former Process Development Scientists at Bluebird Bio, Nazish is familiar with the challenges the biomanufacturing sector faces firsthand.
