Christie Nicholson is an award-winning science journalist, facilitator and entrepreneur. She is the founder of the Studio for Communicating Complexity where she provides training and workshops in both modern product development as well as the clear communication of highly complex subjects. Clients include Citigroup, Mastercard, Siemens, Bayer, NASA, Axiom Space, the National Academies and many more. Prior to this she was Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Citigroup where she led the curricula for their global accelerator, bringing 150+ startup concepts through the program. Christie co-founded the publishing platform Publet, and was an editor at Scientific American magazine and produced/hosted Scientific American's podcast, 60-SecondScience, reaching an audience of 1.5M. As a founding member of the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science, Christie has coached more than 3,000 scientists on communicating clearly and vividly. As a professor at New York University’s graduate school of journalism Christie designed and taught a program in entrepreneurship. Christie is on the board of the PopTech Institute and is on the advisory board for SXSW Interactive.
