Brianna Sacks

Brianna Sacks is a reporter for The Washington Post exploring how climate change is transforming the US through violent storms, intense heat, widespread wildfires, and other types of disasters and extreme weather. Brianna’s focus has been on how these disasters impact vulnerable communities, including how many survivors are often left behind due to race, age, and economic status. She goes further too, to investigate and hold accountable the bodies and systems that should be helping people prepare for and recover from disasters. Brianna is often on the ground in disaster zones doing live, breaking, and enterprise reporting on the preparations for, responses to, and aftermaths of these extreme weather events.
