Sarasina Tuchen

Sarasina Tuchen, Senior Scientist at the USDOT Highly Automated Systems Safety COE specializing in advanced aviation technologies, integration, and interoperability, has over 35 years of experience in private industry and federal government. Sarasina is the USDOT lead of the automation strategy for the AAM IWG, which is developing the AAM National Strategy for the AAM Coordination and Leadership Act. Prior to her Fed service, Sarasina was Group VP of Engr. at Digitas. For 20 years, she has been the technical lead of many of the FAA’s NexGen Air Transportation system technologies and platforms. She was the USDOT’s lead at the NASA Ames Research Center working with NASA researchers to integrate advanced automation technologies to increase the air traffic capacity and efficiency of the NAS. Sarasina earned her M.S. in Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford University (1992) and her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University (1989)
