Sherry Hakimi

Sherry Hakimi is the Founder + Executive Director of genEquality, a 501(c)3 applied behavioral science nonprofit on a mission to creatively activate gender-equal and inclusive beliefs and behaviors. Her work weaves policy analysis and behavioral insights with the creative arts and community development. In addition to her role at genEquality, she has advocated and advised on both gender policy and foreign policy at the multilateral, international, federal, and local levels for more than a decade, including serving as Commissioner for the NYC Commission on Gender Equity from 2019-2021. Her writing and work has been featured in Fast Company, The Washington Post, Politico, Business Insider, The Meteor, and The Hill, among others.
