MARY WISEMAN is currently in production on Shonda Rhimes’ Netflix limited series, THE RESIDENCE. Based on a novel, it’s a murder mystery that envelops the upstairs, downstairs and backstairs of the White House, where the eccentric staff cares for the First Family at one of the most famous homes in history.

She is best known starring as "Sylvia Tilly" in the Paramount+ series STAR TREK: DISCOVERY, which 5th season will be released in April 2024. Other small screen credits include BASKETS opposite Zach Galifianakis, Netflix’s LONGMIRE, in HBO’s ROOM 104 for the Duplass Bros as well as Netflix's THE CHARACTERS and Hulu’s DIFFICULT PEOPLE.

On the stage, Mary recently starred in a production of Brian Friel’s TRANSLATIONS at Irish Repertory Theatre. Prior to that, she starred in Lincoln Center Theater's play AT THE WEDDING for which she received a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Outstanding Performer in a Play. She also starred as the lead in a Theatre for a New Audience’s production of THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH. She also starred opposite Keira Knightley in THERESE RAQUIN on Broadway. Prior to that, she was seen onstage at Williamstown Theatre Festival’s OFF THE MAIN ROAD opposite Kyra Sedgwick as well as in the critically acclaimed and Obie Award-winning AN OCTOROON, in which her performance is described as “delicious” and “comically inspired.” She was seen again at Williamstown Theater Festival as the lead female role in the world premiere of ROMANCE NOVELS FOR DUMMIES opposite Justin Long.

Mary has an MFA from the prestigious Juilliard School.
