V. Marc Fort

Career music industry professional Marc Fort currently works as Marketing/Communications Manager for HAAM (Health Alliance for Austin Musicians). His zig-zag career includes working as a photojournalist for The Denver Post and Austin American-Statesman. While serving as an arts/entertainment reporter at the Statesman, he began to solely focus on playing in bands. Marc has played bass for Butterscotch Tuna, the Fuckemos, bo bud greene, and more. He now performs with Schatzi and Moving Panoramas. You can hear him every Monday afternoon hosting Ear Candy 2.0 on KOOP-FM in Austin. Marc’s previous day jobs include a 17-year stint working in music business development for the Texas Music Office, an Austin Film Society apprenticeship, and various freelance gigs in the music industry.
